Noir 7 Lila Leaves

Explanation / trranslation: As Lila got ready to leave the crime scene she looked back at what she'd done (shot Rocco). She thought about the good times she had with Rocco when they met in Rome, but also remembered that the bad times started as soon as they arrived in Brooklyn. He would beat her up over little things. More than once he gave her two black eyes for not giving him the money she earned. But there would be no more prostitution and no more selling drugs to junkies for Rocco in his nightclub (called Muggles - an 1940s underworld word for marijuana). We learn Rocco won the club from Auntie Sam in a crooked game of craps. With Rocco killed, Lila realises she'll be hanged for murder unless she plays it smart, so she prepares to get rid of the gun, set up someone to take the blame and leave town.
